Donato Giacosa was among the pioneers in planting vines in this renowned Cru, prompting several other prominent vintners to follow suit. In their small 1.36-hectare plot, the Giacosa family cultivates these vines organically and crafts limited quantities of this exceptional wine. Crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, nurtured organically in Montefico Cru's clay and limestone soils, these vines boast an age range of 20 to 30 years and thrive at an elevation of 230 to 260 meters above sea level. The wine achieves its ideal clarity through a gentle filtering process, transferred to stainless steel for a month before bottling, allowing particles to settle naturally. With minimal sulfur dioxide additions, this production is limited to 500 cases (9l). Savor the allure of fresh wild berries and the delicate essence of dried rose within this wine's elegant and expansive character. Its perfect pairings include braised beef and dishes infused with the distinct aroma of truffles, culminating in an exquisite dining experience that celebrates the unique charm of this distinguished Barbaresco.
