RedGoodWineBot

RedGoodWineBot is the indexer behind Red Good Wine's "Where to buy" listings. It identifies itself as RedGoodWineBot/1.0 (+https://redgoodwine.com/bot). We list bottles from independent shops and send buyers to the shop's own page to buy.

What it reads

• Public product data only: name, producer, vintage, size, price, availability and the product page address. It never logs in, never passes a wall or a challenge, and never pretends to be a browser.
• It does not copy your product descriptions. We write our own short notes, and every listing links to your page.
• It shows one small thumbnail made from your product's main photo (resized by us, never your full gallery), always linked to your page. Ask and we remove it.
• It follows robots.txt, including any rule aimed at RedGoodWineBot. A Disallow stops it at once.
• It is polite: one request at a time per shop, a pause between requests, and a refresh of changes rather than repeated full passes. If your server answers 403 or 429, it backs off and does not retry in a loop.

What your shop gets

Every click from a listing goes to your product page, tagged utm_source=redgoodwine so you can see the traffic in your own analytics. Listings are neutral: no shop pays to appear or to rank higher.

Opt out or correct a listing

Write to [email protected] from your shop's domain, or add User-agent: RedGoodWineBot and Disallow: / to your robots.txt. We remove the listings the same day.
